De Bolder, the bollard-shaped head office of Mammoet van Seumeren, was built in record time under conditioned circumstances in the hall of Grootint in Zwijndrecht. In total, De Kok Staalbouw laid down 3,750 m2 of ComFlor 100. Despite a maximum span of 5,7 metres, De Kok Staalbouw was able to construct a slender floor (170 mm), with a deadweight of only 280 kg/m2.
Subsequently, the entire structure had to be shipped from Zwijndrecht to Schiedam. This required expertise and ‘nerves of steel’. In total, the relocation took three days. This method of construction proves that Plug&Play is actually feasible even for entire office buildings, and that even at construction sites that are difficult to access, near the water, construction can be carried out extremely fast nevertheless.
