HVC innovatieve slibdrooginstallatie

On behalf of Visser & Smit Bouw, De Kok Staalbouw is responsible for the construction of an innovative sludge drying installation. This project involves the supply and installation of a massive 600 tonnes of steel structures. What makes this project unique is the sustainable operation of the installation, which uses the residual heat from the adjacent waste-to-energy plant to dry the dewatered sewage sludge. By eliminating natural gas in this process, a significant reduction in CO2 emissions is achieved, contributing to the region's sustainability efforts.

In addition to the steel construction, De Kok Staalbouw is responsible for the complete engineering, supply, and installation of 3,900 m² of facade cladding, 3,700 m² of roof cladding, and 570 m² of ComFlor floor plates.

The construction of the bunker began in late December 2024, and the cladding has already been installed. The final finishing phase is now in full swing, with completion expected in mid-March 2025.
