Thorough project management is an essential part of De Kok Staalbouw’s operational management. De Kok Staalbouw project management ensures entire projects are executed up to their completion after an order has been placed.
This involves daily management of one or more extensive construction projects and the associated project team(s), including Engineers, draughtsmen, customer satisfaction and manufacturing teams. The aim is to deliver the highest quality and provide maximum customer satisfaction. Meeting planning and budgets is the norm. Project management means knowing what’s happening every step of the way, motivating the team and stakeholders to achieve the best result. It is also vital that the project management takes into account different fields of influence and is able to immediately identify the impact of any changes.
Our design and engineering department has state-of the art calculation and drawing software at its disposal. Our design department considers assignments from both a technical and an economic standpoint.
Our extensive service offering means our construction crews and draftsmen have a broad structural knowledge of industrial, hall and crane construction, shipyard, on- and offshore jobs, and concrete structures.
We highly value and pay a great deal of attention to good coordination between the wishes of our clients and our engineers.
Collaboration starts with clear and clear communication between all parties involved. However, things don’t stop there. Nowadays, not only do people need to communicate with each other – information also needs to be exchanged between design software packages. By using advanced software such as Revit and Navisworks, we can coordinate all different parts in a project with our clients and suppliers. This practically eliminates the risk of failure costs.
After construction calculations have been made, the entire steel construction is modelled in a 3D solid modelling program. Information relevant to production is passed from this design system via work preparation to the C.N.C-controlled production machines.
De Kok Staalbouw relies on an extremely strict quality control system and continuously works to improve production processes.
De Kok Staalbouw characterises itself as a leading nationally and internationally operating steel construction company that designs, produces and assembles highly diverse steel constructions using the most modern production methods.
De Kok Staalbouw has a 26,000 m² production facility, in which we work with the latest automated machines. We also have a hoisting capacity of 70 tonnes, which enables us to manufacture and assemble very large and heavy constructions.
De Kok Staalbouw is engaged in realising projects in non-residential construction, factory buildings, on- and offshore projects, hydraulic engineering and crane construction, where quality and service are essential requirements. We have quality certification in accordance with NEN-ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, EN1090-1 and 2 exc. 4 (CE marking) and a V.C.A.P. safety certificate.
All steel constructions are preserved in-house. De Kok Staalbouw is fully equipped to paint materials (machine or manually blasted) with any desired system.
For this purpose, we have a blasting machine with a 3 x 1.5 metre passage, a manual blasting cabin measuring 30 x 6 x 6 metres and two preservation halls with a surface area of approximately 5000 m².
After the steel structures have been coated conserved in-house, they are installed on site by our own assembly teams.
Assembly at the construction site is led by experienced engineers. De Kok Staalbouw has years of experience in assembly and works with skilled mechanics. Our assembly teams take care of the assembly of prefab concrete elements, floors, stairs and the assembly of roof and facade cladding.
In addition, De Kok Staalbouw always manages to meet the erection deadlines by setting up project management as efficiently as possible. Thanks to these USPs, and our ability to unburden clients, De Kok Staalbouw holds a distinctive market position.
