Unique transVORMation

Commissioned by VORM Holding, De Kok Staalbouw built a complete additional floor for their existing office building, De Nieuwe Maaskant. The entire fourth floor was transported across Rotterdam's Schiehaven by floating derrick crane. De Kok Staalbouw then managed to fit this 700-tonne floor onto the existing office building. The 800 m² glass and steel construction rests on four columns that carry the weight. This makes the huge construction seem to ‘float’ above the building.

We are proud that we were entrusted to carry out the engineering, transport, and lifting in place of this special steel construction for VORM holding.
