Victoria Crossbox is located near Old Oak Common in West London. This is where HS2 (high speed) trains (the London-Birmingham railroad line) arrive at the new superhub station. Victoria Crossbox allows trains to change tracks. To accomplish the construction of Victoria Crossbox in a densely populated area, four custom-made cranes were required. Two at the Atlas Road-site and two at the Hartepool site.
Van Haagen Kraanbouw and STRABAG commissioned De Kok Staalbouw to design, fabricate, supply, and install a total of four double overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 2x35 tonnes and a span of 34 meters each having a total weight of 550 tonnes.
We realized 2 at Atlas Road and 2 at Hartepool sites.
