75 Meter High Tower for Tata Steel!

De Kok Staalbouw is currently working on an impressive 75-meter-high tower for Tata Steel Nederland. This tower will serve as the base for a chimney that will be an impressive 115 meters tall!

The construction is subject to fatigue, so it has been designed for fatigue resistance. This results in heavy friction connections with many tension bolts (10.9) and a special zinc-silicate coating on the contact surfaces. The main columns of the structure are made from plate material with a thickness of 100mm (S355 and S460 quality). The base plates measure an impressive 2.5 x 1.5 meters!

In mid-October, the assembly of the ancillary buildings began, and in January 2025, the assembled components for the tower's construction will follow.
