Progress PeFa DeNOx installation at TATA Steel site!

De Kok Staalbouw is working hard on the construction of the PeFa DeNOx installation, part of the Roadmap Plus improvement program at Tata Steel Netherlands.
The project is progressing quickly, and we have already reached a height of 25 meters!

Earlier this year, we started building the 75-meter-high tower.
The fatigue-prone structure features heavy friction connections with pre-stressed bolts (10.9) and a special zinc-silicate coating on the contact surfaces.
The main columns of the structure with a plate thickness of 100mm (S355 and S460 grade) have now been placed.

The focus is now on the scrubber, where we will continue until we reach a height of 50 meters!
The pre-assembly of the upper sections (50 to 80 meters) is also in full swing. 

The installation is crucial for reducing NOx emissions and pre-processing iron ore into pellets for the blast furnaces.
