On behalf of Visser & Smit Bouw, De Kok Staalbouw is involved in the construction of an innovative sludge drying installation for energy and waste company HVC.
The project includes the delivery and assembly of no less than 600 tonnes of steel.
What makes this project special is the installation itself; it uses the residual heat from the adjacent waste-to-energy plant to dry the dewatered sewage sludge.
By eliminating natural gas in this process, a significant CO2 reduction is achieved.
Update: The assembly of the bunker started in late December 2024, and the cladding has now been installed. The final finishing phase is now in full swing!
In addition to the steel structure, De Kok Staalbouw also supplies and assembles 3,900 m² of facade cladding and 3,700 m² of roof cladding.
